We develop and market liquid chemical products for cleaning and maintaining petroleum storage tanks, transport tanks (truck, rail, and ship), and pipelines.
These off-the-shelf products include our proprietary solutions for the recovery of crude oil trapped in a tank's bottom sludge, tank cleaning, and tank maintenance (Recover), as well as our pipeline drag reducing agent (FloSolv).
All ECI products are refinable - they do not need to be separated from petroleum prior to refining.
Crude oil recovery
Our Recover product enables the recovery of crude oil that is trapped within the sludge that builds up over time at the bottom of petroleum storage tanks.
Recover is a liquid, refinable product that chemically dissolves sludge, typically over a period of 2-3 weeks. Very minimal labor is required. In the process, product contained in bottom sludge is recovered, and the tank is returned to service at full capacity.
Recover is very cost-effective. In most cases, the value of the recovered crude oil significantly exceeds the overall cost of applying Recover (please see our Recover Product Calculator).
Tank cleaning & maintenance
Our Recover product has clear and measurable benefits over existing tank cleaning and maintenance protocols.
Simply put, Recover significantly reduces the time, cost, and danger of conventional tank cleaning. In the process, product contained in bottom sludge is recovered, and the tank is returned to service at full capacity within a matter of weeks.
DRA & Pipeline maintenance

FloSolv reduces pipeline turbulence (thereby reducing friction) and cleans buildup on the internal walls of the pumps as product flows through the pipeline.
